Whitney Houston Has New Music

They steady making money off this lady name. Her daughter has passed, she has no one left that she is obligated to take of. Why do they keep putting stuff out?

The late singer’s previously unreleased 1991 recording of “Higher Love” (originally released in 1986 by co-writer Steve Winwood) is out now as a r emix by DJ Kygo.

Clive Davis, who helped to discover and mold Houston, took to Instagram Thursday to promote the release. According to his post, Houston first performed the song at a 1990 Tokyo concert. When it was re-recorded in 1991, the track was meant for her third album, “I’m Your Baby Tonight,” but was never released until now.

“I’m incredibly honored to have been able to work on this amazing vocal from one of the most legendary artists of all time!” Kygo wrote on Instagram. “Hope you guys love it as much as I do.”

Pat Houston, the singer’s sister-in-law and sole executor of her estate, told Rolling Stone, “The current cultural environment has been thirsty for something uplifting and inspiring. Who better to inspire than Whitney, the most exhilarating vocalist of all time?”

Houston, a six-time Grammy winner, was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room on Feb. 11, 2012. The L.A. Coroner said her death was due to accidental drowning in the hotel room’s bathtub, with contributing factors of heart disease and cocaine use.

Fans will get to see her spirit live on through a planned hologram tour and, according to Rolling Stone, an entire album of previously unreleased work.

According to a release, Kygo will perform the song for the first time on June 30 in New York City as part of PrideFestival Utopia.
